Backcover
It's 2354 and William Wesson,
a military pilot, flies his fightercraft from his fleet on the
far side of Pluto to a maintenance depot on Europa. It's a routine
journey he will never complete.
That Which One Begins is a story of love and duty, of honor
and devotion, and of all the forms that true bravery sometimes
comes in. It's the story of a genetically engineered young woman
of amazing powers, alone on a distant and isolated planet of
creatures whom she has sworn to protect with her life. She and
William Wesson defend the planet in a massive battle that nobody
wants, only to discover from the fuzzy inhabitants of the planet
that That Which One Begins, All Must Complete... and how
wisdom sometimes comes in small packages.

S.T.MAC has posted 'That Which
One Begins' for our enjoyment and TS's pennies. I have read this
work in bits and pieces over the past year. I have smiled and
laughed, sighed and squirmed, sniffled and cried for the story
and memorable characters Mac has so eloquently painted.
TWOB is humanist science fiction
with enough hard science to convince a hard-core fan of the genre
but scads of human interaction to enthrall less tech-oriented
readers. Sexy humanoids, a fuzzy friend, wise aliens, nasty enemies,
and cute allies populate Mac's Tetra. |
